Useful software. Thoughtfully built. Occasionally overthought.

I’m an independent developer making apps for everyday problems, small annoyances, and things that really ought to take fewer taps.

One human behind the keyboard. An unreasonable number of browser tabs.

Small studio.
Full stack of hats.

At 81percent, the development team, design department, and person replying to emails all share a chair. It’s my chair.

I take software from the first “wouldn’t it be nice if…” to the last “okay, now it actually works.” Along the way: code, design, testing, and a healthy suspicion of anything described as a quick fix.

What’s with the 81?

You may have heard of the 80/20 rule. I liked the idea. Then I added one.

That extra 1% is the little bit of care: a clearer error message, a better default, one less unnecessary tap. Or fixing the bug that was, until five minutes ago, “working on my machine.”

A few things I care about.

Useful first.

A good app earns its place on your home screen. I start with a problem worth solving. The animations can wait their turn.

The small stuff.

Sensible defaults. Clear labels. Buttons where you’d expect them. The details are part of the job, even when they don’t make the release notes.

Human-sized.

Small scope, thoughtful choices, and room to improve. My preferred meeting size is one. Occasionally two, if you count the rubber duck.

Coming to this particular corner of the internet

Room for the first release.

As apps arrive, you’ll find their product pages here: what they do, how they look, and where to get them. Plus the privacy and account information that deserves to be easy to find.

Until then, consider this the freshly assembled shelf. The screws are accounted for. Mostly.

Software, made with care.
